True Ballerz 17U swept the competitive field at the TresHoops Memorial Day Bash en route to another championship.

17U beat LA Watchmen (CA) in a thrilling title game 47-44.  Tournament MVP, Sherman Dedrick, had 13 points and 13 rebounds.  Akil Hollway had 22 points and Ryan Pate added 9.

True Ballerz is now 22-4 on the season.  If you haven’t seen this team play, don’t miss them in July.

True Ballerz 14U Are TresHoops Memorial Day Bash Champions

True Ballerz 14U went undefeated on their way to the Championship of TresHoops Memorial Day Bash at Skyline High School, May 26-28, 2017.

14U beat Team Prep 43-28 in the title game, with Drew Salazar scoring 12 points to go with 8 rebounds.  Tanner Pate hit four 3-pointers and Alex Fugate was rock solid at the point.

In the semifinals against The Gremlins, Q’bon Sullivan had 22 points and 11 rebounds.  Tajh Holloway was everywhere, collecting 12 points, 5 boards and 6 assists.

It was another true team effort.  Congratulations to 14U!

True Ballerz 17U Goes 4-1 at PrepHoops Bash

True Ballerz 17U swept its pool in the regionally competitive PrepHoops Bash In The Desert Tournament May 5-7, 2017.  17U beat Rocky Mountain Vipers, Powerhouse Storm and Arizona Hype to advance to the Championship Bracket.

17U then beat Power North Platinum 68-61 to advance to the Elite Eight out of 26 teams.  17U lost by one point to AZ Grind 68-67.

True Ballerz 17U is now 18-4 on the season and will be back in action at the TresHoops Memorial Day Bash later this month.

14U Battled Against Top Teams at PrepHoops Bash

True Ballerz 14U battled aggressively and successfully against top regional teams at the PrepHoops Bash In The Desert Tournament May 6-7, 2017.  Phoenix teams usually have to travel out of state to face competition like this.

14U qualified for the championship bracket and went 2-2 for the tournament, beating Arizona Impact and Tucson Flight.  14U lost to 702 Select and Las Vegas Prospects.

In the final game of the tournament against Tucson Flight, 14U came back from 15 points down in the second half and capped the victory when Tahj Holloway rebounded his own missed free throw and put it in for the one point win, 52-51, with 4 seconds remaining.
